Love my Kids

Just thought I would share some fun pictures of my kiddos. These two really love each other, and are so sweet to one another. I guess we will see how long that lasts, probably when Kaven starts grabbing toys. :)
Kaven has been laying on his tummy pretty good now, not for as long as I would like but better than Emery did. Poor Emery had tummy problems. Emery has slowly been adjusting to getting a new brother, and moving twice in the last few months. She sure is sweet and tender hearted though. She just learned to open her door to her bedroom and thinks it is SO COOL!!! The funny thing is, when she gets upset about something she runs to her room sobbing, closes the door hard, then comes out later for a hug. I just keep thinking if she is like this now, what is she going to be like as a teenager!! AHHH!!!! I hope I don't have a drama queen on my hands!!! We will love her no matter what. Sure love these two.

Holidays = Being with one's you Love

Nothing is greater than spending the Holidays with great friends and family. In my opinion it is what MAKES the holiday. It doesn't matter the holiday, it is a great excuse it get with people you love to be with. I didn't realize that as much till this Pioneer Day on the 24th. We have been so busy with settling into our new home, getting things taken care of for school, and catching up on things that need to be taken care of after not living in your own home for two months, that we totally spaced that it was the 24th of July (a major Utah Holiday). We woke up Friday morning and kept seeing our neighbors walking across our window with blankets, chairs, and picnic type food and I said, "What is going on Tim?" Then it hit us that it was Pioneer Day and there was a major parade going on just a few blocks from our house. We were in our P.J.'s with messy hair and had not eaten breakfast yet. Well, if you know Tim and I then you know we are total Holiday freaks!! We LOVE them. So I said, "COME ON LET"S GO!!!!" as I am heading for the door with baby in hand. Tim reminded me of our state and pointed to the clock. The parade had started 30 minutes ago. So we had to settle for watching the Parade on T.V. instead. Not too bad of an alternative. So we quickly put some plans into motion, a roast in the crock pot and a list of grocery items to make a Pioneer Dinner with rolls, potatoes, roast, fresh veggies, and Apple Crisp for dessert. It actually turned out quite nice and was fun but I still felt a little empty watching people with their families and friends walking by with picnic and BBQ items.
Well, the next day our good friends from Cedar City called us and invited us over for a BBQ. They were our neighbors that lived across the street from us. They got accepted to the University of Utah at about the same time as us. So we are now both living in the Salt Lake area. Turns out that he had to study all day so they didn't get to celebrate the 24th either. So we celebrated it together on the 25th instead. We had TONS of fun and Shannon took lots of pictures, then sent them to me. She is so good with a Camera. I was so tickled to receive them. So that explains all the pictures throughout my post. So I figured out that Tim and I love holidays and it is not just because of the picnics, presents, parties or whatever but that is is being with people that you love to be with.

opening presents with

relaxing with,


and just being together.

Brett, Jennie, Sadie, and Trace left for Colorado yesterday. We don't know if we will be able to see them as often as we used to and wanted to let them know they will be missed! Good Luck in Medical School guys! We look forward to the next time we get to see you.

You know you are in the City when.....

Cars park in the middle of the street,

Parks become very unique but fun

You have to park in a parking garage when you go to Walmart

There are live lobsters in the grocery store,

Planes fly through the sky with advertisements,

Strange men do baby balancing acts (Uncle Randy at a FHE, he's really not strange) :)

It takes 30 minutes to go 5 miles down the road,

There are escalators for your shopping cart when you go shopping,

You have to share the road with a trax line,

Roasting marshmallows are done on the stove rather than a fire,

It costs $5.00 to park when you are just dropping something off (maybe a bit exaggerated),

You live down the road from the set of High School Musical


but..........

You know you are HOME when,
you are with the one's you LOVE.

Kavens' Blessing

Here he is in his little baby blessing outfit. It is actually the outfit Tim was blessed in. It was so great it see everyone. We served sloppy Joe's afterward and got to enjoy everyones company. Thanks so much to all those who came and supported his special day.

Another Great 4th!

We had an excellent 4th of July this year. Emery LOVED everything about it. I thought she would be scared of the loud trucks, sirens, and fireworks but she proved me wrong. She had a blast (no pun intended:) At the parade she was more interested in the floats than the candy. Kaven was just content is sit in his car seat and watch as well.

To my surprise I think both my kids loved the fireworks the most of all. Emery just kept saying, "Ohhh, WOW, Ahh" and naming the colors she saw. Kaven would watch intently while they were going and fuss when they weren't. Brett and Brady almost had them going fast enough for him by the end.

We had such a great Holiday. We had three families in transition there this year, of course my family (on our way to Salt Lake), Brett and Jennie (on their way to Parker), and Scott and Chevy (on their way to Arizona). It was fun sharing in the excitement with these guys. So good to see everyone!

Last Trip for awhile....

...because we are moving to Salt Lake City in about a week!!! We got into the housing that we wanted and were on the waiting list for. It is perfect timing because we will have about a month and a half to settle in and get to know the area ect. before Tim starts school. It has been very nice staying in Delta these last two months (kind of vacation like) but it will be great to have our own place again. So as the title mentioned we went to Logandale before we got even farther away. It was the greatest trip. I loved spending so much time with my mom and playing games every night with Erin and my parents. We also got to see our brand new addition to the family, Duncan Park (Cami and Brandons baby), born last week Emery LOVED playing with Dantzel. They stayed up way to late playing and jumping on the bed giggling. It was fun watching James hold Kaven. We even got to see Andy and Jenny on Monday for a work thing Andy and to do in Logadale. What a fabulous time we had, just a little sad to drive away when the time came. All I can say is I am grateful we got into the "U" and not to Virginia for Pharmacy school. I don't know if I could have handled being that far away. But it would have been and awesome experience. All we have left is the 4th of July Celebration and Kaven's baby blessing and we are off to Pharmacy school at the U of U. Salt Lake City here we come.
