October Happenings

There were a few things that happened in October that I didn't want to forget.

KAVEN......

turned 18 months and starting going to Nursery. He has LOVED it and has been no problem. Maybe it helps that Emery is in there too. We will see how he does when she starts going to Primary in January.

LOVES anything with wheels. He just found his train that he got for his birthday from Tim's parents and wants to cary the engine around with him everywhere while it is running. He also has some toy cars that have probably driven on every square inch of our home that he can reach. He usually has some form of wheels in his hands all day while making car or train noises. He also LOVES books. I wish I could read to him all day and get everything else done at the same time.

is REALLY taking off talking. His favorite things to say right now are, "DOing?" (what are your doing), "uh oh, happened?", "Emie, where are you? Peek-a-boo Emie" He also will say, "Bye, Bye, I love you Daddy." when Tim leaves. The funny thing is he will pause for a second between main words. I am also relieved to say that he does not call me Daddy as much anymore but has replaced it with Dallas. If I am lucky he will even call me Ma Ma. I guess I will take what I can get.

Oh, and I can't forget that he has some pretty cool dance moves. It is actually pretty funny to watch him. Too bad I can not get my videos working.

He is a TOTAL binki and blanket kid. It is a very sad time when ever I have to put his blanket in the washer. He knows where that thing is 24/7. I can not even hide washing it.

EMERY.....
is still ABSOLUTELY LOVING her ballet class. I thought that the fascination would wear off over time but it has not. If anything it has become even more of a highlight for her. I can not believe how much she has learned. I am glad we have found something else that she loves and is good at.

she also thought that it would be neat to cut her own hair, the day after I finished her Goldilocks costume and bought some spendy curlers for her hair. Yeah, that actually happened at the end of September. I ended up trying to hide the cut part by doing her hair certain ways until after Halloween was over, so she could still be Goldilocks. The day after Halloween we evened it out.

Right after she cut her own hair

Before I cut her hair (a month later)

After I cut her hair.

She is still my sweet, strong willed little girl. We sure love her to pieces. There is hardly a dull moment with her around.

Halloween

Halloween was quite nice this year. We did a little trick-or-treating together as a family but decided to spilt up for the rest of it. Tim passed out treats at home while I took the kids around with some of our friends. This was both Emery and Kaven's first official trick-or-treating door to door. We have been trunk-or-treating or sick in previous years for Emery. It was really fun to do the actual thing this year. The kids did so well and I found out that Kaven is like his mother and totally LOVES candy. He could not get enough and was so excited with each piece he could eat. I remember one year I ate so much candy that I made myself sick and threw up. It didn't stop me in future years though. I still LOVE candy to this day. Once we hit all the homes in our ward we came home and watched some fun Halloween shows on T.V. while we finished passing out Candy. It was simple and perfect this year. Now on to Thanksgiving and Christmas. I LOVE this time of year. Happy Holidays Everyone!

Getting Ready to Go (curlers in hair, even though it was raining the whole time and her curls ended up falling out.)

Trick-or-Treat

It is getting TOO heavy!

Checking Out Their Loot!

Getting Ready for Church on the ACTUAL Halloween day. I let Emery wear her costume because I felt it was Church appropriate.
