Crawling or Walking?

On my last post I said Emery was going to take off soon and I was not sure if it was going to be crawling or walking. To my pleasure she decided to crawl first. Hooray! Now she will get that brain development she needs for sure. The cool thing about it, she is crawling just like Dantzel did. I guess they are related :) I love it because it is unique. We've got a little crab girl in the family again. Emery has always loved to eat, right from the beggining. I thought she would probably crawl to food first and I was right. I put some cooked pea's across the room and she crawled right over to them, like she had done it before. I don't think she even realized that she did it. I am so thrilled that she decided to crawl. We are so proud of her.

Easter Fun

Emery's first Easter! We were in Delta this year and the Easter bunny did not forget her. She got a basket full of candy and Grandma and Grandpa got her an umbrella stroller and new shoes. Emery has LOVED the shoes. Every other pair of shoes I have put on her she tries to get them off and usualy has them off within a matter of minutes. But these shoes must be special because she hasn't tried that once. All she wants to do is walk around in them. They help her walk a lot better and I think she knows it. Thanks Brady, Nick and Grandpa for walking her around all weekend! We had a great time. I think that Emery is about to take off any minute now. I am not sure if it is going to be crawling or walking. I am hoping for crawling but we will take either. She is really learning to move her body around. Yesterday she even got from laying on her tummy to sitting back up, by doing the stinkbug move. It will be exciting to see what comes first. Go Emery!

Strawberry Jam

Last weekend and the end of our Spring Break we went to Delta. What a great weekend. My sweet mother in law taught me how to bottle strawberry jam. It was a lot of work but so much fun. This is something I have always wanted to learn. Between my mom and Tim's mom I hope to learn more bottling skills. They are both great teachers. I am so lucky to have such great examples in my life. I thought that this was such a beautiful process I just had to take some pictures of it. Start out as strawberry's and end up as jam. Yum, Yum, Yum!!!!!

Nick's Mission Call

Last weekend all of Tim's side of the family came to Cedar City and Nick finally opened his mission call. We had been waiting about a week or two since it came so he could open it with all of us together. Talk about a hard wait for me!!!! Well, the info is in and he is going to......drumroll...........the Indiana, Indianapolis mission. Hooray for Nick. As you can see in the pictures we are all thrilled for him. He is going to make an excellent missionary. We will miss him a lot but it will be fun to send him letters and such. He is leaving June 11th so we still have some time with him.So as you can tell it was a great weekend. Tim's family stayed the night on Sunday, then we got up Monday and went to St. George to spend the day together. Brett and Jennie were nice enough to accommodate us all. They made the best chocolate fondue I have ever had and Emery had a blast with some of Sadie's toys. Sadie has this swing that is hung on the tree outside and Emery LOVED it. Thanks for sharing Sadie!

3 Wonderful Years

Wow, time flies when you are having fun and when you are in love. Three years ago on March 12 Tim and I were married in the Manti Temple. The first time I saw Tim was out the window of my apartment and all that I and my roomates knew about him was that he lived in one of the apartments in our complex and that he drove a purple car. I let all my roomates know that I saw him first and that I had dibs on him! So he was know as "the hot guy who drives the purple car" for awhile. I know that is weird that he drove a purple car but it is what I loved about him first, that he was big enough not to care what people thought of him and he didn't have to prove anything by driving some fancy car or anything. The car was a great deal (probably because it was purple) so he took it. I later found out that he was watching me out the window for awhile as well. I guess it was infatuation at first sight for both of us. :) We eventually were able to meet and the rest is history. We spent every spare moment we had together from then on. We met in October, talked about getting married in November, engaged in December and married in March. And we thought we were putting on the brakes at the time for "times sake," ha ha. Four different homes, a graduation from college (mine), school, school, school and a baby, here we are today. I could not ask for a better life or a husband. When Tim and I were just barely married I asked him how long we would be considered "newly weds" and he said, "What are you talking about? We will ALWAYS be "newly weds"! and so far that has been true. I am still as infatuated with him as the first day I saw him out my window, but the great thing is that I am extreamly in love and it just gets stronger every day. Incredible!

Is it Summer Yet?

O.K. so maybe it is not all that close to Summer but I was getting a little bit excited for it. I found this outfit in Emery's closet (that I had forgotten about) and thought it would be fun to get a little taste of Summer by putting it on her. Hopefully she still fits in it when Summer comes! :)
Also, this may be one of my last posts for awhile because we are not going to have the Internet for who knows how long. We will see what happens. So, so long for now. Hope to be back on soon!
