President's Day

Last weekend we decided to go to Logandale when some other plans were canceled. Sometimes I think the best things happen when they are spontaneous or spur of the moment. Because of this all of my siblings and their kids were there too, and that hardly ever happens. It is so great to get everyone together and Emery absolutely LOVES being with her cousins! Here are some of the spontaneous things we did there.

Small Horses/Rodeo

We all went to a rodeo and saw these adorable little horses there. Emery just fell in love with them. I guess that's why so many little girls want a pony. If she was not sitting on one she was hugging them, kissing them, or petting them. It was very cute.

"Annual" Giant Birthday Party
It seems that every Presidents day we have a giant Birthday party for Casey, Jodi, Tim and Heston, because their birthdays are all that coming week. Every year, it seems we never plan on it, but sense it's Presidents day, and we all have the day off from work, school and such all my siblings end up down in Logandale together. So we end up having a giant birthday party for them all. It has become a fun tradition that was never really a tradition at all. :)


Fire in the Wash
My parents are getting their wash set up really cool. They have animals, grow boxes, tent sites, fire pit.... so it is really fun for the grand kids. They are also working on a chicken coop, shed, BBQ grills, and a slide that runs from the top of the wash to the bottom. Pretty fun, I think. We love playing down there every time we go.

Raiding Grandma's Treat Jar

My mom has a treat jar in her closet just for the grand kids, and they all know it too. It has been awhile sense I have gotten a pictures of the cousin "triplets". We call them that because they were all due within a month of each other. It has been so fun watching them grow up together, but we definitely do not get them together enough.

To Grandparents House We Go

Last week we went to Grandma Bug-a-Boos and Papa Jays house for a fun stay. Here are some things we did....

Went for a cart ride with Lincoln while mom was moving stuff around...


Held and hugged/mauled Baby Gwen....


Helped Daddy build onto the fire pit and roasted hot dogs, marshmallows, and starbursts on the fire (yum)....

...and much, much more.

We had a great time! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for letting us come stay!

Great News!

Just thought I would give a little up-date on Tim's pharmacy progress. He has been invited to interview at two schools so far!!!! YEAH!!! The University of Appalachia (in Virgina, the one I mentioned on a previous post) and The University of Wyoming (in Wyoming, if you couldn't figure that one out ;). I am so proud of him. It is amazing how fast these schools responded to him. His applications were just barely sent out and we got a response from those schools the next day or within the week. I was quite surprised at the quickness of the schools. He is still filling out secondary applications for some other schools so we will see how those go too. I am excited about the Wyoming interview because I get to go with him. We are going to drive out there while Tim's mom watches Emery for us. It will be fun to get away before the baby comes. We have felt so blessed through this process, even to the point where we found out about some people in one of the schools and they offered to let Tim stay at their home for his interview, and have been a great help on information there. It is crazy how things work out sometimes. Thanks to all those who have been so supportive and interested in this process. It is a very exciting time for us.

Kaven Up-date

We have been busy getting ready for Kaven to get here. We still have about 2 1/2 months till he comes but we WILL be ready this time. I think I have everything all out and put together. I also just finished this baby quilt for him. It was probably the easiest and most fun quilt I have made. I think I made it in about two days.
I also have been asked by a few people for a "belly" picture. To my dislike I decided that it might be nice to have for "journaling" purposes as much as anything, so here it is. I definitely feel not as cute with this pregnancy but I guess you do what you have to do to get them here. I just have to keep reminding myself that it is worth it! We are very excited for him. I am getting more and more bonded with him as time goes on. It has helped to do all these projects as well.
I also wanted to thank my friends and family so much for the support, hand-me-downs and maternity clothes. I feel so blessed to have such good, caring people in my life!
