WARNING

*****WARNING*****
I am playing catch up again with my blog. We have been doing so many fun things that I haven't had time to post them all until now. So beware there are a lot of posts and pictures below :)

My Birthday Girl

My little Emery Girl just turned Three!!! She is growing up so fast and I just love her to pieces! She is so smart, confident and kind to others. She has a really great imagination, which I love observing. Sometimes when I am looking for something or need something she will say sweetly, "You can pretend you have one." Then hands me the invisible object. If only it were that easy sometimes. But it makes it nice when she wants something. :) She loves to sing, dance and yes watch T.V. We have decided that she is a couch potato, I am a computer potato and Tim is an I-Touch potato! Don't worry we really try to limit these things but really enjoy when we are doing these activities!
She decided she wanted a team umizoomi party. It is a new T.V. show on Nick Jr. where tiny super hero's teach about math skills as they solve a problem in Umi city. I made her a Millie (the tiny girl superhero) Dress to wear to her party. We made her a Bot (robot character) cake.
(We hadn't put on his antenna yet in this picture)
And Kaven kind of dressed up like Geo (tiny boy character). We also invited some close friends over to celebrate. Happy Birthday Sweet Girl! You are my number 6 helper (as she always corrects me when I tell her she is my number one helper). We LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

Pharmacy BBQ and Completed Project

Tim just finished his 1st year of Pharmacy School! I can not believe how fast time is flying by. I feel like we are just starting our first year here still. Anyway, the Pharmacy Department celebrates the end of the year with a BBQ. We even won some dry erase markers as a prize. :) The kids LOVED playing in the dry water fountain most the whole time we were there.

I am also proud to show you my most recent completed project. I just LOVE sewing, even though I am not the greatest at it. When Tim asked me to make him a white coat for work I was a little hesitant about it. I was not sure if if would turn out very good, but I just had to jump on the opportunity for a sewing project!!!! So I took him up on it.
His other coat he received at the white coat ceremony is really long and VERY nice. It is a bit much and a little too over powering for us. Plus it is the coat he needs to wear all through school for times when he goes in pharmacies, so we don't want to wear it out.
Great Job Tim! We are so proud for all you are doing! 3 years to go!

Vacation Crashing!

Last Friday Jodi and Chris's family came to Salt Lake for a little family vacation/work outing for Chris. They were kind enough to let us join in on their fun. It was SO GOOD to be with them and do some REALLY cool things as well. One of the things I really wanted to do while living in SLC was to eat at the Mayan. When they said they were eating there it gave us a great opportunity to jump on it and be with some really cool people too! Emery was fascinated with everything especially "the king" as she calls the main chief dude in the performance. He even came for a visit at our table and about made her about jump to the ceiling when she turned around and he was right there. Good thing daddy was holding her and she could hide her face in his chest. All through the dinner she kept asking me, "Where's the king?" (Too bad I didn't get a picture of him) The diving was really cool and the dinner was great.

Following our dinner outing we were able to go swimming with them as well. This was Kaven's first time and pretty much Emery's first as well since the last time she was only a baby. From the moment we walked in Emery could not stop smiling. She took to the water like a duck! It always amazes me how brave and confident she is about almost EVERYTHING in life. I was always such a timid little thing as a child and I guess I still kind of am. Anyway, it made for a very late, very fun evening! Thanks to Jodi and Chris Fam for coming! We loved being with you! Thanks for sharing your vacation with us!

In between Birthdays

We are SO BLESSED to have such great family in our lives. Emery and Kaven's Birthdays are about 2 weeks apart so Tim's parents were able to come in between their birthdays and we had a little party for both of them. We feel so spoiled. They were able to spend the night at our house, take us out to eat, shop for the kids presents from them, then come home wrap them up during their naps. Once they were awake we had a party.

I love their new little outfits! Emery just ADORES her new shoes. She wants to wear them everyday all day. I hope that is not going to be a problem when I try to get her wear church shoes on Sunday.

More than anything, it is just wonderful to be WITH them. I always love being with family it is my favorite place in the world. Guess it doesn't matter where you are but who you are with!

Birthday Boy

My baby boy is now one! We had a super fun party for him. His uncle Brady, Andy and Jennys family and Johan and Shannons family were able to come. It was almost like old times when we lived in Cedar City with just a few friends missing. We had finger foods for dinner (pizza, bread sticks and veggie tray) then a dog cake with puppies and ice-cream for dessert. Kaven LOVES dogs so we figured it was fitting for his birthday cake.
It was a BEAUTIFUL day. It was almost like the blossoms on the trees were just waiting for his special day. The day stared out with no blossoms and throughout the party they started blossoming right before our eyes. By the end of the day the trees were full of them!

He was SO HAPPY all day long. He must have known it was his birthday. Here are some more pictures of his special day.

Kaven just loves this little googly thing Uncle Brady gave him.

After the party we went to Trolley Square with Brady.

It was a day full of memories, new beginnings, and lots of happiness. This little boy has brought move love and joy into this home than I ever thought was possible. We love you SO MUCH little Kaven boy. Happy Happy Birthday!

???Spring???

Now I am not sure how it has been everywhere else in the world but here in Salt Lake City Spring has been a very questionable thing this year. It is April 5th and it is snowing like crazy outside and has been off and on like this ALL WINTER!!!! So I ask, "Where, oh where is Spring?" The calendar told us Spring was to begin March 20th and I am still eagerly awaiting the sunshine and blossoms!

Well, Spring has not found us in Salt Lake City so we decided to go in search of it. Our search began in Logandale Nevada where the grass was green and my goodness there were buds coming off the trees. Emery was able to jump on the trampoline WITHOUT a coat. I repeat WITHOUT a coat! So we enjoyed our week of Spring break in a very nice Spring Setting. We spent a day with my sister Leslie in her new home. Then a night and a day with Zack and Nikki. It was so great to see them! I think Nikki is one of the greatest cooks ever! And oh their kids are cute!
On our way home we went to feed the birds and fish at Lake Mead. We were then able to spend a day at my parents house and were lucky to have my Sister Cami come to see us from Mesquite. The final day of our break was spent at Tim's parents house in Delta. We figured we slept in a different place ever night on our trip. Kind of fast and crazy but way worth it.

On our arrival home I had a really fun Outside Easter Egg Hunt planned for Emery's Joy School class. Surprise (or not) it was snowing like crazy that day too. Plan B indoor hunt. Then for Easter Weekend in Delta we had hopes of an outdoor hunt for the real thing. Another snowy day so on to Plan B again but still very fun!

It is now April 6th in the morning and I look our my window to see this

Maybe if I squint my eyes to make this blurr up it will look like popcorn popping. Then maybe for a moment I really will feel like it is Spring in Salt Lake City! All this snowy cold weather has not only resulted in a lot of indoor activity but this
lots of time to practice a very important skill in life. Maybe Winter is not so bad after all. :)
