Last night Jodi and Chris had their baby (my sister), not sure about his name yet though, but he sure is cute.

I was able to watch their kids while they were in the hospital. We had a great time doing all kinds of fun things. Waiting, waiting, waiting...... and he finally arrived

What a excited little family. Chris was on the cell phone with someone, but we got he kids all smiling. As you can see they are very excited!

Pioneer Day

This was actually one of our first holidays we have spent in Cedar City, so we decided to hit up on the Cities festivities. Funny, I just kind of had it in the back of my head that things don't go on here in Cedar because we are usually not here. Little did we know that exciting things are happening here too. :) We went to the parade which was mostly done by wards here in Cedar. After they had bounce houses and things going on at the park. We walked around for a little bit but Tim had to go to work so we headed home! Growing up in Nevada I don't really remember the 24th of July much, probably because it is a Utah holiday. So it was fun to get involved a little bit more this year. I am so gratefully to my ancestors and the pioneers who trailed the way for us. Hopefully I can keep the family chain link strong and be a great pioneer for my posterity to look to.

My Garden

I am so thrilled. This is the first time I have grown something with it is staying alive. If you look closely, you can see tomatoes growing on this plant (amazing). I have always loved plants but have not been able to keep them alive. Well, maybe my curse is gone. I have two tomato plants and they are still alive and thriving. Yeah for me!!! So the top picture is of my garden now and the bottom picture is of my sister and brother in-laws garden (Jodi and Chris) aka my dream garden! Boy, I have a long way to go! Dream big is all I have to say!

Baby Shower for Jodi

This last weekend we went to see my Sister Jodi and we threw her a baby shower. It is amazing to think that the baby will come sometime in the next two weeks! We are very excited for this new arrival! Her shower went great and it was so fun to see my sisters and family! Emery had a great time playing with all of her cousins once again. They played in dump trucks, every kind of sprinkler you can think of, swimming pools, dirt, and lot's more. She is very lucky to have so many great cousins!

Another great weekend full of fun and family, but I would have to say that my favorite part was driving there and back with my sister Cami (Camrin). She picked Emery and I up on the way. She is my closest in age sibling and we grew up being best friends, so it was fun just getting together again!

4th of July

We had a great time in Delta for the 4th once again this year. I didn't know how Emery would take the parade with all the loud noises and people but she LOVED it!!! Tim's favorite part are the F-16 jets that fly over the street to get the parade started. It is pretty cool. We got lot's of candy, and had a great time.
After the parade we went to the park, where we saw some old friends and family. The other two pictures are of Emery playing in the water. She loves the water and wanted to be in it all weekend. She learned the sign for water and kept asking us if she could go play in the water. Very cute. She even helped grandma water her flowers. I was impressed at how well she kept the hose on the flowers.
Last but not least we celebrated Sadie's' 1st birthday. Brett and Jennie planned a very fun party for her at the park with games, relay races, cake and ice-cream. What a great party! We ended our trip with a bang when we shot off fireworks for Sadie's birthday. Emery was so fun with them. During the fire work she would clap, dance, and say, "wow, yeah,". After it was done she would sign and say, "more, more, more." The last picture is of Tim with his safety water gun. If things got out of hand he would put the fire out. ;) He makes me smile. Thanks everyone for the great time (especially Brett and Jennie for all the fun things they had planned) We sure had a "blast"!!!!

Emery is 14 Months!

Wow, how time flies! I can hardly believe that I have a 1 year old baby/toddler. I thought I would update some things about what she is doing now. Here is a video of her doing some of the signs she knows (still working on the video, coming soon).

These are just a few of the many she knows (hat, dog, fish, bird) along with these: more, done, baby, book(Leslie taught her), ball, cracker, wash hands, drink, juice and maybe more that I can't think of right now. It has been so nice being able to communicate with her. She is A LOT happier and cleaner in her high chair.

The best part is she usually says the word as she signs them, so she is learning to talk a lot right now too. Tim and I were trying to write a list of the words she says but she keeps saying words that we forgot to put on the list it is amazing. Here are the words we could think of: mama, dada, shoes, hi, dog, fish, more, cheese, bird, book, hat, no, uh-oh, peek-a-boo, wee, bye-bye, hello, happy, baby, done, ball, bear, Nick, car, ka-ka, cracker, oh-cute, wow, eye, thank you, drink, juice, uh-uh, good girl, ha, boo, tickle tickle, hop hop, Elmo, please and my new favorite blankie (which she has just barely gotten quite fond of).

One other thing she has been doing, is learning how to run. It is so cute! She is a little banged up because of it but I guess that's what happens when you learn something new. She gets running so fast (for her) and her feet get caught underneath her and then she biffs it. She has learned how to slow down and stop herself now, so that's good.

I sure love my little Emery girl. She is the joy of our lives. How great it is to be a parent!
