Emery Eliza

Now that Emery is three it has been a whole new world for us. She is growing up SO FAST right now. Her imagination is taking off. She has her own little world of play all the time and I LOVE IT!!!

She loves to play with her littlest pet shops and is really into the mommy, daddy, baby roles in her play. The other day I pulled out the cars mostly for Kaven to play with. Kaven of course is driving them all around making car noises and Emery finds a big one, medium size one and small one and is playing "family" with them. The daddy car was giving the baby car a piggy back ride.
She still loves TV and books. She also just upgraded to a twin size bed from her toddler bed. She really is growing up.

She LOVES babies and is so tender and sweet with them. Any time one is around she just melts.

I really love this sweet, smart, motivated little girl. She is and will ALWAYS be loved in this family!

Kaven West @ 15 months

I think 15 + months is my favorite age so I like to get my kids pictures done at this time. I only have a few days until he is 16 months so I decided this morning to take some pictures of my kids and quick. Here are some information about our sweet Kaven boy.

*He is REALLY starting to take off talking. He says all kinds of words and tries to copy almost anything we say. He is kind of like Emery's little parrot, coping everything she says and does. He just learned the word birthday the other day and likes to attempt to sing the birthday song too.

*He calls both Tim and I Daddy even after all my attempts to fix it. All I can figure is must think that Daddy means parent. At least he says it really excitedly when he sees me.

*His mom is still his favorite person despite the fact that he call me Daddy. :)

*Kaven LOVES anything with wheels. And the things that do not have wheels he will pretend they have wheels and drive them around making car noises. There are a lot of bikes and toy car things out in our court and any time we go outside he spends his whole time going from bike to bike just sitting on them. He is not quite big enough to peddle yet. He does know how to climb on the seats and stand on them though.

*He is a great climber and loves to climb on everything.

*He follows Emery everywhere and hates it when she is sleeping. He always asks me, "Emey?"

*He is so personable and smiles and communicates with people really well. It is SO EASY to have fun with him.

*He is a pretty good singer for his age. It amazes me that sometimes he will start humming and saying words here and there and I can actually recognize what it is he is singing.

*If you ask him questions he will say No really loud or mostly shake his head yes.

*He also loves to pretend things are guns and LOVES spray bottles and actually has a great shot shooting them with two hands.

We really love our little Kaven boy. I can not imagine how we ever lived without him. He brings so much joy and love into our home.

Greatest Trip EVER!

We just spent 5 days in Delta with Tim's family so I could get my Drivers Licence taken care of. Yes, yes, sad to admit that it expired in September 2009. I just have to say, "WAHOOO!!!!!!!". I am so glad we went to Delta to do it. I just walked right in (NO LINE) and was taken care of with four very kind people tending to my every need. I also did not have to take a driving test like I thought I would, just a written one which I got 100% on (I am not a very good test taker so I can pat myself on the back for that one)!!!
Anyway, beside finally getting my drivers licence we has such a great time. When we left I told Tim that it was my favorite trip we have ever made there. The only sad part is that my Camera batteries were dead so I did not get any pictures to remember it by. But I thought I would write about it anyway.
On Saturday we..
1. Went to the Millard County Fair where we watched a few performances, viewed all the items on display and let the kids pet all the animals.
2. Played games with Grandma Dora
3. Went swimming at the public pool. Emery was really brave and she even let me teach her some swimming lessons. By the time we left she was able to blow bubbles, put her head under the water, float on her back with support, glide with support, jump into the water to someone and walk around in the shallow end. I think Kaven just smiled the WHOLE TIME! I got a kick out of watching him wiggle around and try to copy what Emery was doing. We set him on the steps in the shallow end and he would walk down ALL the steps and touch the bottom of the pool with his tippy toes and his mouth/smile barely above the water. He would walk/run as far out as he could until he would go under or someone would stop him. The funny thing is as he went under water you couldn't even tell by his expression because he kept that huge smile on his face and eyes still open with those big eye lashes. Needless to say we had to keep a hand on him at ALL TIMES. He also got involved in the water basketball game with his dad and uncles and thought he was pretty cool.

On Sunday we...
1. Went to church. It was nice being able to go to all three adult meetings. I did miss my Primary kids though.
2. Had a delicious steak dinner.
3. Played Settlers

On Monday we...
1. Worked on the basement
2. Bottled Cherry Chocolate Preserve (can't remember what it is actually called)
3. Went shopping
4. Ate at Leo's for lunch
5. Played games at Grandmas
6. Made Tim's Dads birthday dinner
7. Broke down in the car on the way to the power plant
8. Had a tour of the Power Plant where Tim's dad works (AWESOME)
9. Had a very late Birthday dinner/party for Tim's dad.

On Tuesday we....
1. Worked on the basement most the day
2. Relaxed
3. Played games with Grandma Dora
4. Played Settlers (only Dallas, Nick and Paula)

On Wednesday we...
1. Got my Drivers Licence
2. Painted the basement
3. Played Games with Grandma Dora
4. Finished the basement
5. Headed home!!
