Birthday #27

I had one of the best birthdays this year. I had a relaxing morning and worked on Emery's Halloween costume. I love to sew even though I am not the greatest at it. It just brings me so much joy. Then to my surprise Tim came home EARLY from school at lunch time with some flowers for me.

We were able to spend the whole rest of the day together which is a rarity in this house. That evening we went out to eat at Paradise Bakery (delish).

The kids had fun playing on the bike rack in front of the store on our way out.

Then came home to some cheesecake out in the court. Followed by the kids going to bed early while we watched Letters to Juliet. Which I LOVED by the way. Why can't they make more clean good movies like that these days?


Sure love my sweet husband. He made this day extra special along with phone calls from family and birthday wishes/gifts from dear friends. Thanks everyone!

Dance Fever

A few months ago some good friends of ours put a video of their little girls dance recital on Facebook. Emery wanted to watch it over and over again. The interesting part was she would beg us to watch it, watch very intently then (this is the interesting part) she would start bawling!!! We kept asking her what was wrong or what was going on. All she would say is, "My kids!!!" We could not figure it out. She would beg to watch it again and we were like, "I don't think so, especially if it is going to make you cry." She would then plead with us some more. We had her promise not to cry if we let her watch it. We played it . Once it was over she would start crying again. I thought, maybe she is just tired or something. The next morning when she was well rested, she pleaded to watch the dancing show again. I figured it was probably safe now but the tears came once more. It took us forever to figure it out but we finally came to the realization that she felt left out and was so sad that they were dancing WITHOUT her!!! This is where her love for dance began. Being in school still, I figured we would not really be able to afford something like a dance class at this time. So instead I pulled together some "dance clothes" from around the house. We even found some tap shoes at a yard sale for a dollar she could add to her attire. We would have little dance shows in the hallway or around the house. She never really asked to be in a dance class but kept talking about wanting to dance with her kids (friends) on the stage. To my excitement a flier was put up by our door about a ballet class for 3-4 year old girls that lived in the Village (where we live). It was a screaming good deal because it was for families going to school. I could not pass it up. So Emery started a ballet class this week and I have NEVER seen her so excited about something in her life. I tried taking pictures of her but they all turned out blurry because she was dancing around everywhere. Her teacher is adorable and so good with the little girls. On to a new phase in our life. My little girl is old enough to be in some sort of program!! All I have to say is, enjoy each moment with your little ones because they sure grow up too fast!!!!!

We were so busy getting ready for the Family Reunion we decided to eat out. We were all over the place running errands and the kids really think it is a treat when we eat out. I happened to have my camera with me so here are some fun pictures. Just for kicks. :)

Back To School means.........

UNIVERSITY OF UTAH FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!

Since we could not go to the actual game and our Cable is not working we decided to watch the game ouside, on the lab top, while the kids played. It wasn't too long and we had Ian come to watch too. He sat there with Tim the whole game (or until his mom took him in for bed). He kept saying ,"football" and "fall down." So cute.
Not to long after that we had our kids glued to the game as well.
We are not huge football fanatics but we sure love following our Schools Team which makes for a fun evening every once in awhile.

August Rush

Nicole Reunion

August 14th (Yeah I know, I am catching up)
We went to the Nicole Reunion for the day. It was great to see my Dad's Extended Family but mostly to was great to see my parents and grandparents.

Emery and Kaven were particulary excited to see Grandmas puppies!
