Hills Family Reunion

Before we went up on the mountain, we celebrated Lincolns Birthday. He turned 1 years old. Tim made him a penny cake. It was great fun and we had the best homemade ice-cream I have ever had. My sister Jodi is amazing at making ice-cream, among many other things! What a great party. We then went up to the mountain for the actual Reunion. Boy did we ever have a great time. I tried to get a picture of some of the things we had to do there. Here are the pictures of our great adventure; four-wheelers, fishing, shooting, cooking and eating eating eating....

....games, horse ridding, campfires, canoe, and more. These are just of few of the memories I captured on camera. It is so great to get with family and build these memories. Emery loved almost every minute of it. She did so well and got REALLY dirty!
After a day of dirt, sun and fun who could resist taking a snooze while on a four-wheeler ride. Emery sure couldn't . I must admit it is what I felt like doing after the all excitement. Just want to say thanks again to everyone, for making this such a great reunion!

Good Luck Elder Johnson!

Nick is off to the MTC now. We were lucky enough to see him this last weekend before he left. Prepare yourself for a long blog because I took a lot of pictures! We tried to get some nice family pictures before he left. This one was probably the best we one. Emery or Sadie were not looking in any of them! Oh well, they are still cute whether they are facing the camera or not.

It was such beautiful weather while we were there that we spent a ton of time outside. We even planted two new trees in grandma and grandpas back yard. We said they are Emery and Sadie's trees, planted when they are one. It will be fun to see them grow as they grow. And who can resist not having a picnic while playing outside. Emery sure couldn't.

Some more fun outside shots. Nick is so sweet with Emery and Sadie. He will surely be missed by them and the parents. He helps out with them so much, and they both adore him! We also had a huge fire that night and Nick burned all of his papers and homework from school! Bet that felt good!

Nicks luncheon after his talk on Sunday, which he did a fantastic job. He is going to make such a great missionary! Someone made him this cake and brought it over. Very cool! It is suppose to be him if you can't tell. Right when it was brought over Jennie said, "I want to eat the Book of Mormon!" Later when we were going to cut into the cake Brady says, "Jennie wants to feast on the words of Christ. " Pretty funny! Brady has the best sense of humor! I have loved getting to know him better sense he has got home from his mission! Man, I sure love this family!

Here we are after Nick got set apart. Isn't it a good looking group? This is right before we said good-bye. Below is of all the siblings at Nicks luncheon. I love this picture. Alan and Paula posterity as of now. I feel so blessed to be apart of such a wonderful family! Nick, we are so proud of you! Look out Indiana, here he comes!

Fishing

This summer we have found a new passion of FISHING!! We got each other fishing licences and gear for each other for Mothers Day and Fathers Day and have already gone fishing twice. We have some great friends that like to go with us, which makes it that much more fun. There is this really cool kids pond that is full of fish that this closer to the base of the canyon which makes it easy for us to go. The pictures above are of us fishing there. That was Emerys first fish she caught. She seems real thrilled, huh? Even though it may not look it in the picture she was very intrigued and kept saying fish while signing the word fish. And of course she loved the hot dogs we roasted.
These pictures are of us hiking to a different fishing location. It is so beautiful! The lake was incredibly clear. I wish I would have taken pictures of the lake, bridge, and river. Maybe next time. I am sure we will be going fishing a lot more in the future. Now if I could just get Tim to like the taste of fish, then we would be set. As for now our neighbors sure love eating them for us.

Surprise, Party!

Two weekends ago we went to Manti to go through the temple with Nick for the first time and then headed to Delta for a fun getaway. As always it was fun to spend time with family. On the last day we were there Tim's family threw me a suprise graduation party. I actually graduated a year and a half ago but it was the same time that I had Emery so the attention was on Emerys' arrival (which I wouldn't have any other way). So they threw me a party now. What sweet in-laws I have. They have always been a great support to us. We feel very blessed to have two sets of great parents. Just wanted to say thank you to them for who they are, what they do for us, and for everything!

Here is a video of Emery playing in the water while we were there. Almost every day we were there we tried to see if she would play in the water. She got a little braver each day and finally started running through it, as you can see.

More Adventures

We had another great adventure this last weekend. My mom and dad were going to see Chris and Jodi (my sister) and had room so they picked us up on the way. What a great time!

St. George Adventure

I am finally catching up on our blog page. Blogging is kind of funny that way. When I have lots of time to blog there is nothing to blog about, but when I am busy doing fun things and don't have time to blog, I have tons of things to blog. So now that I am in a lull, I can catch up on some of our fun summer.

A little more than a week ago Tim's family came South. They spent the night at our house and the next day we headed to St. George so they could pick up Sadie for the week (Brett and Jennie went on a Cruise) and shop for Nicks mission. We had a great time on the swing again.

We went to the visitors center at the temple and saw the sculptures they have there. That was amazing to see. It made me want to create something with meaning or story. Emery enjoyed walking around the temple grounds the best though. It was a beautiful day.

When we were done shopping with Nick we went swimming. This was Emery's first time at the pool and as you can see, she did not spend much time in the water. She was pretty scared of it so we did not swim very long. It was still fun watching her play on the deck in her cute swimming suit though. We will take this swimming thing one step at a time and she will hopefully LOVE it some day.

The Mighty Climbers!

Wow, we have had a very fun last week with school being out. IT'S SUMMER (for us)!!!!! It started out with Monday going rock climbing, dinner at a friends house, and Tim's family staying the night. So I decided to break my blogs up a little bit. As you see this one is about our rock climbing adventure!

Tim was quite excited because he LOVES to go rock climbing. It's actually what we did on our first date. And the place we went on Monday was where we went on our first date. So it brought back some great memories of listening to conference while climbing, being scared and spilling an Iceberg shake all over his car right when he dropped me off! Great times! We will probably be going a lot more this summer. Since Tim has all the gear, why not!

This was also the first time we've taken Emery to the outdoors. She loved it so much that she just wanted to eat it all up, and she actually did take a few bites! :) What a great way to build that immune system! Nathan and her also found two lizards and had a great time playing in the dirt and rocks.

We had a great time with the Williams. It is always so fun to do stuff with great friends. Look out Summer, Here we come!
