Mossy Cave Hike

This was probably my favorite hike we went on while in Panguitch. It was perfect for the kids to walk on and it had some really cool things to see along the way. Right about the time Emery would start getting tired something cool would pop up to distract her and she would keep going to the next cool thing to see.

The was probably the hardest part of the trail. Tim was SO GREAT about carrying Kaven when he needed help.
The landscape/scenery everywhere around Panguitch is just BEAUTIFUL!!! I can not believe I didn't know about all these things there are to do in Utah. Almost everyone we met on the trails was from another country or a far away state. I don't think people from around here realize what we have to offer in Utah. It makes we want to get out more.

Panguitch

Wow! It has been a really long time since I have sat down to blog. This summer has been crazy, full, and quite the adventure. We just spent the last month in Panguitch for one of Tim's Pharmacy School rotations. Tim and I have always said that we want to end up in a small town and for some reason we didn't really know about Panguitch. We always said Richfield or Cedar City would be perfect and our dream places to end up, but for some reason I have never felt like we would end up there. Yet right as we drove into Panguitch (a first for both of us) I felt the strongest connection to this special little town. I really feel like it is a place we could end up, put in our roots, ect..... and we hadn't even met anyone yet. The longer we were there (a total of 4 weeks) the stronger I felt that way. I have to admit that I was quite sad to leave when the time came. I took over 500 pictures ( that is after cutting all the bad ones even) while we were there. It will be extremely hard to limit or pick which pictures to put on here. So I guess I will do our trip in a few different posts. This post will just be about the trip in general and I will get more specific with other posts.This is the little cottage we stayed in. It was one of the first places built in Panguitch and this was actually originally a mill next to a Pioneer house, but was later fixed up for a man that went blind to live in. Then about 20 years ago restored by the new owners that live right next to this cottage.
lucky for us they build on a little counter sink area and a bathroom to the side of the old mill. It was such a fun ADORABLE little place to stay in. It was actually a bed and breakfast at one time. So how spoiled are we to stay in a bed and breakfast for a month.
We really fell in love with the owners of the place we were staying in (The Crumps). They are such examples to me of Christ like people who welcome, love, and accept anyone into their home/lives no matter what they are like. I learned so much from them and their examples while we were there. This car is just one of the MANY generous things they did for us. Just after meeting them I mentioned one of Tim and my dreams is to rent a convertible car and drive up a canyon somewhere. So they opened this old shed door to reveal this car and said, "We will watch your kids while you take this car up red canyon. Which looks like this.... "It was SO FUN and beautiful!
Emery and Kaven were such good buddies during our stay there. Because we were only there for 4 weeks, my kids didn't have any other kids to play with and we spent a lot of days with just the three of us (while Tim was working at his rotation) with no obligations or activities to attend. They got along so well and are still best friends.
Panguitch is such a tourist town and has lots of little paintings like this around the town. We couldn't resist getting at least a picture with one of them. He He. We actually ate the best Ice-Cream I have ever had in my life at Gem Theater this day as well. It was homemade and delicious. I love Emery's facial expression in the top one.
Panguitch has some fun 24th of July celebrations while we were there too. They has a super cute parade that went down the street and then came back to go down the street again while still throwing tons of candy. At the end of the parade all the firetrucks that sprayed everybody as they drove down the road. This was the best picture I got of it. It was actually a lot neater that it looks in this picture.
Between all the fun we still had to do laundry. This is the laundry mat where we hung out for several hours (total). The kids were so great to be patient.
Kaven was in heaven sitting on and going for rides on all these different contraptions/moving objects. I only got pictures of these two. Leon Crump took him on four wheeler rides, let him dive a bobcat and this tractor. I especially thought this toy firetruck was neat. If you notice he "hooked up" the wagon to the truck (one of his favorite things to do, with everything he gets his hands on).

Claudia Crump (the owner of the house) made it one night for her. It is the best twirly skirt she has ever worn and has spent many hours dancing in it.
The kids found creative ways to have fun. Plus they are learning great skill for helping wash the car in the future.

We also got to stop and see my sisters family on the way there and back from our rotation. They are quite talented at making balloon animals and objects.

Talk about a memorable trip that will stick with me forever. I am grateful for the time we spent there and lessons learned. This is just the tip of the iceberg though. We experienced and did so many other things while there. I will post more about it later though.

Liberty

Hooray for the 4th of July!! We have had such a full and busy summer that we were only able to visit Delta for the one day, but it was a great day full of fun traditions and remembrance of what a blessed country we live in. Thank goodness we live close enough to make the trip in one day. Here are some pictures of our day. What a cute new sister in-law I have. Not only is she cute but she is SO SWEET and SO GREAT with my kids. This was the first time we were in Delta together and it was so fun having them there. My kids just love Nick and T.C. too. All I have to say is Paula has some serious competition now. Kaven loved the firetrucks and anything with a motor for that matter.
I think he has as much candy as he can handle. Good thing we brought bags for them.

Cedar City Hospital Rotaion

We spent four weeks in Cedar City for one of Tim's Pharmacy Rotations. While we were there we did so many fun things like.....
BBQ with FRIENDS
These are some of our neighbors from when we lived in Cedar City/Best Friends. The funny thing is that none of us live in Cedar City anymore. We met up at Andy and Jenny's house in Enoch.
The great thing is that our kids LOVE each other too, which makes for a perfect time. From left to right: Kaven, Nykel, Camry, Bracken, Hannah, Wade, Cloe.
FISHING
Cedar just built a new lake right on the edge of town. We took Kaven fishing for his first time but both the kids loved it. This is just a taste before we got to Panquitch for 4 weeks, later in the Summer for another rotation.

He just didn't want to touch it. Emery couldn't keep her hands off of it. I love the different personalities of my kids. It makes life fun.
SWIMMING
Cedar City is also a LOT closer to my hometown and my sister Cami. So we were able to visit family while we were there. My sisters family was so nice to share their pool with us.

BABY BREA

We were also able to see Baby Brea for the first time too. Can you tell that we are ready to have another little one in our house. I guess all in Heavenly Fathers time. For now we get to enjoy our cousins more than we normally would if we had our own. We also got to spend four days at my parents house and saw more family and did some really fun things but I didn't take any pictures of that.
BRACKEN'S BIRTHDAY
Super Hero Party. Close to the end of our trip we helped Andy and Jenny with Brackens first friend party. We made masks, capes and this cake for him. It was really fun to plan a total boy party.


The kids all looked so cute in their costumes. As soon as we put them on, the kids were off to save the world. We didn't have to tell them to get into character. They just did. Oh to be a kid again.
We really did enjoy our short time in one of our favorite places. I know this is a lot of pictures but it only cuts into a few of the things we enjoyed there, like the new aquatic center we went to a few times, the late game nights, other new friends we made, memorable moments while living with Andy and Jenny, fathers and sons, girl nights out, date nights and more. It is a time we will always cherish and remember. We feel SO BLESSED to have such amazing friends and family. I have to admit I was just a little nervous about staying with our friends for that long but it couldn't have gone better if I would have wished it up. Thanks Losees for having us at your home and for being such great friends.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell about his actual rotation. He had a really great preceptor (Pharmacist which was over him). He said it was really different from retail Pharmacy. The busiest time is in the morning when they are filling most the meds for the day. He learned A LOT and worked with some really smart people.
