Cedar City Hospital Rotaion

We spent four weeks in Cedar City for one of Tim's Pharmacy Rotations. While we were there we did so many fun things like.....
BBQ with FRIENDS
These are some of our neighbors from when we lived in Cedar City/Best Friends. The funny thing is that none of us live in Cedar City anymore. We met up at Andy and Jenny's house in Enoch.
The great thing is that our kids LOVE each other too, which makes for a perfect time. From left to right: Kaven, Nykel, Camry, Bracken, Hannah, Wade, Cloe.
FISHING
Cedar just built a new lake right on the edge of town. We took Kaven fishing for his first time but both the kids loved it. This is just a taste before we got to Panquitch for 4 weeks, later in the Summer for another rotation.

He just didn't want to touch it. Emery couldn't keep her hands off of it. I love the different personalities of my kids. It makes life fun.
SWIMMING
Cedar City is also a LOT closer to my hometown and my sister Cami. So we were able to visit family while we were there. My sisters family was so nice to share their pool with us.

BABY BREA

We were also able to see Baby Brea for the first time too. Can you tell that we are ready to have another little one in our house. I guess all in Heavenly Fathers time. For now we get to enjoy our cousins more than we normally would if we had our own. We also got to spend four days at my parents house and saw more family and did some really fun things but I didn't take any pictures of that.
BRACKEN'S BIRTHDAY
Super Hero Party. Close to the end of our trip we helped Andy and Jenny with Brackens first friend party. We made masks, capes and this cake for him. It was really fun to plan a total boy party.


The kids all looked so cute in their costumes. As soon as we put them on, the kids were off to save the world. We didn't have to tell them to get into character. They just did. Oh to be a kid again.
We really did enjoy our short time in one of our favorite places. I know this is a lot of pictures but it only cuts into a few of the things we enjoyed there, like the new aquatic center we went to a few times, the late game nights, other new friends we made, memorable moments while living with Andy and Jenny, fathers and sons, girl nights out, date nights and more. It is a time we will always cherish and remember. We feel SO BLESSED to have such amazing friends and family. I have to admit I was just a little nervous about staying with our friends for that long but it couldn't have gone better if I would have wished it up. Thanks Losees for having us at your home and for being such great friends.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell about his actual rotation. He had a really great preceptor (Pharmacist which was over him). He said it was really different from retail Pharmacy. The busiest time is in the morning when they are filling most the meds for the day. He learned A LOT and worked with some really smart people.

Tc and Nicks Wedding

Hooray!!!!!!!!!! I now have a new sister and I already love her and am so glad she is a part of our family. It was a really busy, fun few days of celebrating and the kids did really well considering all that we did. Everything was so beautiful and perfect and the new couple looked like they were glowing all day.
It started off on Thursday May 5th when Tc went through the Temple for the first time. I always love going through the temple with someone for the first time. This one was especially neat for me. I have felt that Tc was apart of our family from the first moment I met her (which was probably a total of 2 minutes). This was confirmed to me again during this temple trip. She is such a jewel and I am grateful she could join our family.That night we stayed in a motel which the kids thought was SO COOL. They have never stayed in a motel before and it was pretty fun (Thanks SO MUCH Alan and Paula for providing that for us).

Then on Friday morning, May 6th, Tc and Nick were sealed for time and all eternity. There is NOTHING like a temple marriage. It is not just the actual marriage itself but all that it entails. They are both living in a way that makes them worthy to be there for starters, which means they have their lives in order and it gives them an excellent start for marriage, but it is that they can be together, not just in this life, but forever and all eternity, with their children that come along as well. The spirit and feelings in this ceremony are so special.

Following their wedding we went to a luncheon. We had the kids play outside for as long as we could before it started because it was a VERY nice luncheon and we wanted them on their best behaviors. We then traveled back to Salt Lake City were they had their reception. We are so lucky that it was so close to our house. We were able to rest/recoup for about an hour before the reception.
Just look at my beautiful mother in law. Isn't she a beauty on the inside and out. I love this picture of her and Emery. This is Paula and her mini me. Emery reminds me more of Paula than anyone else in Emerys blood line. I am grateful she has such a good grandmother to look to, especially because she is named after her. Paula Eliza and Emery Eliza = Sweet girls.

I was trying to get a picture of them dancing but it is not a very clear picture. I thought it showed the table decor nice though (even thought there are cups and stuff on the table). It was a very beautiful reception. My favorite were the ball lanterns hanging from the ceiling. SO PRETTY!Daddy daughter dance.
Emery was in awe of Tc all day. She kept smiling at her from far away and would run and sneak hugs in when ever she could. She would then come tell me in a whisper, "Mom, I hugged Tc."
She even got to dance with her at the end of the night. So fun!
Congratulations Nick and Tc. We sure love you and are excited for your new journey to come.

Lacy Curtains

While in Delta a few days before the big Wedding of Nick and Tc, we went on an adventure to the Lacy Curtains. While there we...............

We then rested for a few minutes,
wore our cool hats (this was a first for Kaven and he wore it the whole time),

went on a hike,
played hide and seek (not really but this would have been a cool hiding spot),
explored some tunnels,
admired our loved ones
pretended to be the karate kid,and searched/dug for treasure.
Kaven found the treasure (with the help of Uncle Brady),
then we pulled the treasure out,
and reaped the rewards of our labors.
At the end of our adventure we had a picnic.

Birthday Girl

Can you believe I now have a 4 year old!! Crazy! How time flies when you are having fun. Life can be great. Anyway, here are a few pictures of her day. This year I decided to spend my time on making her a princess dress rather than putting hours into a cake. It really is because she asked to dress like a princess on her birthday. When I went to a few different stores to buy her a dress I was astonished that they were $20 for a flimsy little thing. So I pulled out my material scraps and put this together. Not too bad for free, plus my time. I tried to make it look a little like the Tangled dress. The weird part of this whole Princess thing is that she really is not that into Princesses. I kept asking her if she was sure and she was. When I gave her the dress she didn't even want to put it on or like it much for that part (Oh well I kind of expected that). BUT it might just have been meant to be because her cousin Sadie was in town (which is rare because they live far away) and we ended up inviting her over for a Princess sleep over birthday party. Now Sadie is the most Princess girl I have ever met! She LOVES them. When Sadie saw Emery in her dress she was in AWE and said, "Wooooooowwwww, Emery........ you are Beautiful........." 'Thanks Sadie, that made it all worth it!' They had so much fun dancing the night away and partying. I think it was a first sleep over for both of them and they did excellent.

As for the rest of her day, she got a bike from Grandma and Grandpa and has been LOVING it.

She also helped and made/decorated most of her own cake (to tell you the truth, I think she liked that more than having a super fancy cake because we did it together and it was her creation)
Here she is at her Princess sleep over party opening presents and of course the cake and ice-cream. I forgot to get pictures of us eating at the "eating store" (as Emery calls eating out) as part of her party (one of her most favorite things to do). I just had to add this picture because this is really what my cute girl is like. Who wants to sit proper like a princess when it is way more comfortable to sit like this (in a dress). We sure love our Emery girl. I think you have taught me way more than anyone has in my lifetime and I LOVE YOU for it. Most my joy in life is a result of you and our family.
