Tim's brother Nick is FINALLY home from his mission! It is SO nice having him home again!
Temple Square
We were thrilled to have Tim's family stay with us for a few days when Nick came home. One of the things we did was visit Temple Square and see the Movie of Joseph Smith playing there.

I finally got brave enough and bottled something ALL BY MYSELF! I only called my mother in-law and sister Jodi once! :) The Strawberry Jam is delicious too! Maybe next time I REALLY will be able to do it by myself with no phone calls even. :)
Boondocks

Tim's dad got us free unlimited passes for his work party. We had a BLAST! Maybe I will do another post on this. I have SO MANY pictures!

While Tim spent four days with his brothers, I was lucky enough to spend some time with my sister Jodi. I personally think I had way more fun than Tim did with his brothers. I sure love my Sis and her family. They are such good people and a great example to me. THANKS.
At a Funeral

My grandma Joann passed away from Cancer and she had one of the best funerals I have been to. My favorite was the rose floral arrangement on her casket. The top pink rose represented my grandparents. The next 18 white roses represented the children. Then the bottom 82 represented the grandchildren. We each took a rose as we left. This was very neat to me because it said a lot about the yours, mine, ours and their family that my mother grew up in. Despite all the problems and quirks of that situation they always kept in mind what was most important. Our Heavenly Father and Family. It is defiantly true families come in all shapes and SIZES! Even though she is technically my step grandmother I feel that she always took me in, treated me as her own and ALWAYS made me feel very special. She is a great woman.

Of course we had to go to Nicks talk in sacrament meeting. It is great being with Brett's family again. Emery and Sadie just adore each other and their grandmother as you can see!

...and this is just the tip of the ice burg. We actually have been home for three days and are back out again for more Summer fun. Where will we be next? Guess you will have to stay tuned and if you are lucky enough I will find a little bit of time to do a blog post about it. :) Happy Summer Everyone!

"Bucket List"

Tim and I have decided that while we are living in the City we were going to try to experience some of the things is has to offer. Because of this a "bucket list" for city living has started to be created. With this being Tim's only summer off from school in the Pharmacy program and the freedom we have with our children's ages, we feel there is no better time than the present! Though many of our items have been crossed off, our list seems to keep getting longer as we keep learning the many things the city has to offer. Sometimes we even find something new to do for FREE or cheap!!!! We even have really nice friends that invite us places on their passes (thanks so much to those people). Other times we find out ways where you can get free or discounted passes to these places for one visit (AWESOME).

Waiting for the Shuttle. The kids, especially Emery, were Fascinated with riding the Shuttle. Tim explained and pointed out so many things to her on the ride. We will have to do that one again! It has been her favorite of our "Bucket List" so far.

Too bad my batteries on my Camera died after this. There were SO MANY beautiful cool things I wish I would have gotten pictures of. AWESOME PLACE!!

Friends Moving
Our lives have been pretty transitional in these last 5 years of Marriage. One of the hard yet great blessings of this is all the friends we get to make. It just is the stage of life we are in while going to school! All the people around us are in this stage too. So in the months of May and August there is usually a pretty big turn over in our neighborhoods. One of those friendships are the Whetmans. We met them on the arrival of moving into this place and now they are off to Nebraska to continue Dental School. We were able to help them move and were lucky enough to have them stay the night at our house before they took off on the long trek! I don't know why we don't have sleep-overs with friends anymore now that we are adults. They still are fun! Especially with all our kids too! :)
Visits from Family
My sister Jodi's family came to see us and I was lucky enough to watch their kids while they went to a wedding. They have such fun good kids and they treat my kids SO WELL! Great Times!!





Discovery Gateway
I checked another Salt Lake City Experience off my list with this one. The kids REALLY loved it. What a cool place! Wish I could show you all the pictures I took but it would be too much of an overload. I LOVE FAMILY TIME!!!!




Year End Parties

The place where we live has a lot of fun activities and fun events planed throughout the year. Two of our favorites in the Block Party and the Year End Bash. They have all kinds of treats, blow up houses, entertainment and Dinner provided. This was Emery's first time playing in the blow up houses and I could not keep her out of them! I sure love where we live!!!


Trip To Delta

So we decided to spend a few days in Delta while Tim had a little break from school and work. The main point of our trip was so I could renew my expired drivers license and avoid the craziness of Salt Lake Cities DMV. I have to admit it was a great plan until I forgot my Birth Certificate!!! Oh well, I guess it gives us an excuse to plan another trip in the future. Good thing I never drive! :)

MAY I also say that life is EXTREMELY AWESOME right now. We feel SO INCREDIBLY blessed! I am not pregnant, we don't have a brand new baby (which opens up our summer options/vacations) and we have big bright goals and dreams for the future. I don't know how you can beat that! I just try to savor each moment with each one of my kids and my family! We are in such a fun stage of life. I hope it doesn't fly by too quickly!

I am playing catch up again with my blog. We have been doing so many fun things that I haven't had time to post them all until now. So beware there are a lot of posts and pictures below :)

My Birthday Girl

My little Emery Girl just turned Three!!! She is growing up so fast and I just love her to pieces! She is so smart, confident and kind to others. She has a really great imagination, which I love observing. Sometimes when I am looking for something or need something she will say sweetly, "You can pretend you have one." Then hands me the invisible object. If only it were that easy sometimes. But it makes it nice when she wants something. :) She loves to sing, dance and yes watch T.V. We have decided that she is a couch potato, I am a computer potato and Tim is an I-Touch potato! Don't worry we really try to limit these things but really enjoy when we are doing these activities!
She decided she wanted a team umizoomi party. It is a new T.V. show on Nick Jr. where tiny super hero's teach about math skills as they solve a problem in Umi city. I made her a Millie (the tiny girl superhero) Dress to wear to her party. We made her a Bot (robot character) cake.

And Kaven kind of dressed up like Geo (tiny boy character). We also invited some close friends over to celebrate. Happy Birthday Sweet Girl! You are my number 6 helper (as she always corrects me when I tell her she is my number one helper). We LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

Pharmacy BBQ and Completed Project

Tim just finished his 1st year of Pharmacy School! I can not believe how fast time is flying by. I feel like we are just starting our first year here still. Anyway, the Pharmacy Department celebrates the end of the year with a BBQ. We even won some dry erase markers as a prize. :) The kids LOVED playing in the dry water fountain most the whole time we were there.


I am also proud to show you my most recent completed project. I just LOVE sewing, even though I am not the greatest at it. When Tim asked me to make him a white coat for work I was a little hesitant about it. I was not sure if if would turn out very good, but I just had to jump on the opportunity for a sewing project!!!! So I took him up on it.
His other coat he received at the white coat ceremony is really long and VERY nice. It is a bit much and a little too over powering for us. Plus it is the coat he needs to wear all through school for times when he goes in pharmacies, so we don't want to wear it out.
Great Job Tim! We are so proud for all you are doing! 3 years to go!

Vacation Crashing!

Last Friday Jodi and Chris's family came to Salt Lake for a little family vacation/work outing for Chris. They were kind enough to let us join in on their fun. It was SO GOOD to be with them and do some REALLY cool things as well. One of the things I really wanted to do while living in SLC was to eat at the Mayan. When they said they were eating there it gave us a great opportunity to jump on it and be with some really cool people too! Emery was fascinated with everything especially "the king" as she calls the main chief dude in the performance. He even came for a visit at our table and about made her about jump to the ceiling when she turned around and he was right there. Good thing daddy was holding her and she could hide her face in his chest. All through the dinner she kept asking me, "Where's the king?" (Too bad I didn't get a picture of him) The diving was really cool and the dinner was great.

Following our dinner outing we were able to go swimming with them as well. This was Kaven's first time and pretty much Emery's first as well since the last time she was only a baby. From the moment we walked in Emery could not stop smiling. She took to the water like a duck! It always amazes me how brave and confident she is about almost EVERYTHING in life. I was always such a timid little thing as a child and I guess I still kind of am. Anyway, it made for a very late, very fun evening! Thanks to Jodi and Chris Fam for coming! We loved being with you! Thanks for sharing your vacation with us!
