After all the excitement and happenings of the holidays it seems that January just kind of drags on. It doesn't help that it is the coldest month of the year either. So we have been trying to find some fun, cheep things to do to get us through it. I also thought I would give an update on some of the other things going on in our life right now as well. So either sit back, relax and read through this journal page, or just scan through the pictures if you want. Or as Brady (Tim's brother) would say, "Brace yourself!" (I think that is from Mr. Bean) :)
Emery is just as fun as ever. I have to keep standing back and realize that she is not a baby anymore. She has now been sleeping in toddler bed for about a month, and soon after she had been sleeping in it, she informed us, "I a big girl now!" She also lets us know that, "Your mine! All mine!" I don't know how well that is going to go over when Kaven comes. Hold your breath! I am still not sure what I am getting myself into. But she loves babies and is very sweet to them if one is around. Sometimes she will point to my tummy and say, "Baby Kamen (Kaven)." But a lot of the time she points to her own tummy and says, "Kamen." To top it off this morning I saw her pointing to Tim's tummy saying, "Baby Kamen." Boy do we ever have her confused. She does know he is her brother though. So I guess we will see how it goes.
Speaking all this baby talk, we are starting to get excited for baby Kaven to come. We have a lot of his things set up and ready for him. After going through the experience of having Emery a month early, without much ready, I really jumped the gun this time. We are going to be as ready as we can for this one. It is fun to see his crib set up in our room. I have been feeling great! I think my first trimester is by far the hardest part of my pregnancies, so it is great to be past that! I was thinking the other day that if Kaven comes as early as Emery did we could have him in 2-less than 3 months. Boy, this pregnancy has gone by fast.
Tim is also doing great. With his hardest semester over with, applications in, and shadowing finished, we feel relieved. Because of this he is now trying to work full time at his job but there is not a lot of work. Three of the Five people on his shift are on lay off right now, so things are slow. He is going in as much as he can and we feel blessed for the time he is getting. He only has one class this semester and graduates with his Bachelor degree in April. We just heard a rumor that President Monson will be the key speaker and passing out the diplomas for his graduation. Now that would be cool! Guess we will see. His applications for pharmacy school have been the biggest process we have ever gone through. With how crazy things were last semester we didn't get them in as fast as we would have liked, so we are just hoping that all the time, money, and effort we put into it will pay off. We know that it made the chances A LOT slimmer but we had to try still. Just say an extra little prayer for us. Hopefully we will be getting secondary applications soon, then interviews, and then an acceptance somewhere! Our top choices for schools have changed here and there, but I think we now have our favorite. The school is in Grundy Virgina and the population is 1,100 people. They have a law school and a pharmacy school and that is about it! We would LOVE IT! To top it off, it is a 3 year program rather than a 4 year program. The only thing is they are not accredited yet but it looks like they are very close and have a good chance of being accredited by the time he would graduate (if he gets accepted). If things don't go as planned, then we will try again next year and get our applications in 1st thing. We love it here at Sunset Ridge in Cedar City so much that it would definitely not be a problem. Life is good!

To our amazement we had a big snow storm yesterday! I had not been watching the news so it came to a surprise to Tim, Emery and I. Emery was so excited, that she watched out the window, and sang for most the day, just watching the snow. She has this new thing where she likes to hang out in the laundry basket with some pillows and blankets. I must say that it looks pretty comfy. Anyway, I had a doctors appointment at 8:00 in the morning which Tim had to the shovel the driveway for, to get out. We were at the appointment for about an hour and when we came out to our car, it was covered in about an inch and a half of snow. That was the beginning of the day, the snow kept coming and coming all day. I think we got about 14 inches of snow.
Well, later that afternoon we all got bundled up, shoveled our driveway again and played in the snow. We have such good friends on our street that we almost always have someone to play with when we go outside. So of course we ended up sledding and playing in the snow. Our friend Joey built cool stairs and slide for the kids, and they had a blast! 
Of course after we played out in the snow we enjoyed a hot mug/sippy cup of hot cocoa. Playing in the snow and drinking hot cocoa just go hand in hand. We were so glad to have Tim home to have so much fun on our snow day!
