Happy Birthday Nick!

Last weekend we went to Delta to see family and it was Nicks Birthday! It was a great way to spend our three day weekend! As you can see in this picture, Emery LOVES Nick! Nick has his mission papers all ready to go. We are very excited for him but are going to miss him a ton too, especially Emery. She will be about 3 years old when he comes home, so we are going to have to write him a lot, so she will remember him. He wont leave till May or later though so we still have awhile with him. He will make a great missionary! We also got to spend some time with Grandma Bringhurst. She sure loves to play games. It was a fantastic weekend and we look forward to seeing family again sometime!

My Current Project

I always love having some sort of project to do all the time. Tim and I just got a new couch and so I decided to do a wall hanging to match the colors of it. It is only half way done though. I still need to put the batting and back on it and then quilt it all together. It may be awhile before that happens though because I need some quilt frames to quilt it. I think I might be getting some in the near future though. Maybe for Valentines Day, Anniversary or Birthday (hint Tim) ;) I am sure I will figure something out though. A few of you were asking what it looked like, so I thought I would blog a picture of it. Hope you enjoy! :) It has been really fun to make!

Turkeys!!

Sense we have moved to our new place up by the mountain we have had some fun creatures come around. I love seeing the squirrels and chipmunks sitting on our back fence. Sometimes we even hear some weird animal sounds coming from off the mountain. But this has probably been one of the neatest things yet. At the beginning of December (I know this is a late blog) we had a whole bunch of Turkeys come walking down our street and hang out on our lawns. I had never seen wild turkeys that close before. I say it is good luck to have a Turkey cross your path! Tim just thinks I am a goof. I thought it was pretty cool, anyway. These pictures do not do it justice though because we took them from inside the house through the window. We live in such a great place!

To Crawl, or Not to Crawl?

Our sweet little Emery is growing up before our eyes. Yesterday was one of those big step days. For the first time she got into somewhat of a crawling position, which I was trilled with! I thought she would have noting to do with crawling because she will not get on her stomach. I didn't think babies would get into the crawling position from sitting. Boy do I have a lot to learn! So I have been crossing my fingers and cheering her on. She sure likes to stand and walk in her walker still. Also I saw two little teeth starting to come through on the bottom gum! Hooray for Emery! It is so amazing to watch these precious little miracles learn and grow in such a short amount of time. Being a mom is the greatest thing I have ever done in my life and I am sure that I will ever do. It is indescribable how much Love I have for her. I am sure that only other parents can understand.

New Year, New Beginnings

A new year has begun. Hooray for 2008!
Tim is starting up a new Semester, I am babysitting two babies again (both of which are within a week or two of Emery's age) and so far Tim and I have been keeping our New Years resolution, which is not normal for me! ;) So we are off to a great start. We took Emery to the doctor the other day because of this cold she has had and found out she has an ear infection and they put her on a nebulizer. It has been a battle giving her her medicine for her ear but we only have one day left, that's a relief. She has been doing great with the nebulizer though (pictured top left). We even got a free machine through our insurance. That was very exciting, because now we will have it for all our other kids that will come in the future. (That is not an announcement :O). Tim has almost completed his first week of the semester. After seeing that all of his classes were going to be pretty easy for him he signed up for another class. He is so smart and brave. I don't know how he does it all and always stay so calm and relaxed! He is such a good influence on me. I will have to admit that watching babies this week as drained me. The new little boy that I am watching is still adjusting to being away from his mom so he cries and takes most my time and attention. Poor little guy. I know he will adjust eventually though. Thank goodness the other two are so easy. I moved our furniture around so that there is only a little opening out of our living room. That way I just block it off when the babies are all here, throw some toys all over, and let them play. I call it my giant play pin. Both babies I am watching are crawling so my house is very child proof now. They sure are cute together, and as you see they play pretty good together too. I don't think I ever want triplets or twin for that matter though! They sure keep me on my toes.

Christmas in Delta

Don't worry this is the last Christmas page. Boy are we ever blessed to be able to have Christmas so many times in one year. We spent the actual Christmas day in Delta. It was so nice to be able to have the whole family there. Paula made all of these beautiful stockings pictured above. She is so talented. It was a great morning. We actually spent five days in Delta and were able to do so much. My favorite thing to do there is to play games with Grandma Bringhurst, which we were able to do a few times. We were also able to play in the snow, watch lots of movies, make bracelets, eat yummy food, hunt rabbits (Tim and his brothers) and lots more but best of all just spend time with family. While we were there we were able to get some fun pictures of Emery and Sadie together in their diapers. They are both so chubby that we couldn't resist. Guess we are just proud moms. Everywhere we go people are always saying how chubby our babies are, especially their cheeks. Jennie says that everyone wants to grab and touch Sadies cheeks. I think Emery had the same idea because right when we set them down together Emery reached out and grabbed her cheek. Not only once, but twice. It was pretty funny. I guess Sadie is pretty used to it because she didn't even cry or seem too bugged. But she always has been a good baby. It was a wonderful Christmas. I am so grateful for all the many blessing we enjoy!

Christmas in Manti

What a Christmas vacation we had this year. Another holiday full of travel, family and fun. It started off in Annabella where we spent a few days with Chris and Jodi's family. Poor Emery got a nasty cold on the day we got there. She was still a sweet heart though. It is always great to see family. Then we left for Manti (Tim's grandparents). This was kind of my second time getting to know this side of the family well. Thanksgiving was the first. We had a wonderful dinner and then the cousins exchanged gifts. Emery received a really neat toy (pictured on the left). She sure had everyones attention. I think that about half of the kids were involved in helping her open her present and then play with it too. I have really been enjoying getting to know Tim's dads side of the family. They are great people and I have loved being around them. I sure am lucky to have married into such a great family. :) As we left I got a picture of the Manti temple (where Tim and I were married) That is always one of my favorite things about going to Manti, is seeing the temple. It is so neat because you can see the temple from Grandma and Grandpa Johnsons house. What a beautiful site!
