Boy or Girl?
Cut this cake, give it a whirl, to find out if we are having a ........

Introducing our new little girl coming around April 9th 2012
We love her so much already!
P.S. Sorry for the sloppiness of the cake. We had an ultra sound in the morning last Friday and were headed to Delta (Tim's family) right after. We decided to announce this news in a fun way as we were packing the car. So, I baked the cake while we were packing, picked up frosting in the store while we were gassing up our car. Then I frosted it while we were driving to Delta. I don't think very many people can say that they frosted a cake while driving in a car. Another weird thing I can add to my list. He He...

In October......
Grandma and Grandpa Hills Came for a Visit.
and my mom took these pictures on our walk through Millcreek Park.

It was so nice to have them come see us. We don't get to see each other as much as I would like so when we do get to see each other, it is extra special.
We Hit THREE Different Weddings
My cousin Kasen, my cousin Austin and my Aunt Marcie. I didn't get pictures at all of them though.
We Had Our Hills Family Reunion (this deserves it's own post)
and We Celebrated Halloween
Kaven was a train engineer. He just LOVED the train that his daddy made for him to drive around. He sure adores anything that goes (especially if it has wheels). This was perfect for him.
Emery was Rapunzel from Tangled. This was the dress I made for her birthday but I fixed it up a little. The wig came from a friend, which worked perfect! I think she looked a little like how Rapunzel looked as a little girl in the movie. What a sweet girl I have!
And here is Kavens' train in action. We took it on the shuttle bus and he rode it all the way through the hospital to get to Tim's Pharmacy Halloween Party (It is the only way to get to his building from the shuttle). It was neat to see the smiles on everyone's faces in the Hospital. We usually see such tired and somber faces when we walk through there. That made it all worth it.
OH and I can't forget what took up most of my time... the Primary Program. It was such a neat experience and a relief to have it over. I have the sweetest kids in our Primary. I have learned and continue to learn so much in this calling, and I love it.

September
As you can probably tell, I have not been so great at keeping my blog up to date. I have been trying to play catch up for awhile now and seem to keep getting farther and farther behind. SO..... I guess I am just going to have to do the whole month thing. In September.......
Emery Learned to Ride a Bike (without training wheels)
The funny thing is, she probably could have done this a LONG time ago. We went outside to play one morning and I just thought, 'I wonder how she would do on a two wheeler?' So I grabbed one of the many bikes in our court and said, "Emery come and try this." She ran right over, hopped on the bike and took off!!! I was amazed. As soon as Tim got home, he took off the training wheels on her bike and she has been in heaven ever sense.
on that same day..........
Emery Started Her First Day of Preschool
She was SO READY for this! She loves school SO MUCH which makes me love it too. It makes me happy to she her so thrilled. She goes Monday through Thursday from 12:30 - 4:00. They feed her lunch and a snack before she comes home and she thinks that is so cool! She has made a lot of new friends and is learning a lot of new lessons about life. We have had many talks about how to deal with some of these new experiences. Her teachers say she is doing REALLY well and is quite smart. It is always good to hear that from someone else.
Dallas had a Birthday
Tim was being his AMAZING self and made my day SO SPECIAL!!! In the morning I found this scroll and opened it up. Inside was a puzzle. I had to figure out a message by looking up different scriptures. It then lead me to where my present was hiding. It was a new camera (a little one I can carry around easier) hidden under my bed. He knew just what I wanted. I love it when he does stuff like this! It is SO FUN!
He later surprised me by taking me to Jamba Juice and made me a candy cake (I am not a huge cake fan, but I LOVE candy).
Block Party
Every year the Village we live in holds a Block Party to open the new school year. This is always a blast. The kids LOVE it! I didn't take very many pictures but there is ALWAYS so much to do. The bouncy houses are always the favorite of my kids besides all the cool equipment Kaven got to sit on/in.

So that is it for September (just to mention a few of the main things going on). On to October...

Lake and Reunion
Here are some more quick up-dates for my journal. We for sure have had some fun this summer. Our ward has a lake camp-out trip ever year. The kids had so much fun riding on the boats and tried the tube. Emery enjoyed it but Kaven was not as sure about it. I am glad they tried it though.

Good-Bye Tonsils!
I guess it was time for Emery to get her tonsils out (August 15, 2011) and Tim' great parents came up at a moments notice to watch Kaven so Tim and I could be with Emery in the Hospital all day. What sweet parents we have!
This is the morning before we left for the hospital.
Emery was so EXCITED to wear hospital clothes. Daddy helping her get dressed.
Emery showing off her gorgeous attire. :)
While we were waiting for her to go into surgery, they gave her a hospital doll that she could color on. She instantly named her tutu and has loved her ever sense. She even drew her an owe on her neck and a belly button.
The finished project! Notice the sticker on her head. They also gave her some paper to put stickers on, but she had other ideas. Ha Ha, that's my girl.
A few minutes before they took her in, they gave her some medicine to help keep her calm and relaxed. She either had to be held or pulled in a wagon because she was so dopey. It was pretty funny watching some of the kids go in with these cheesy smiles on their faces, yet SO RELAXED. It was kind of hard to pass the wagon over to the doctor when it was time.
Here she is after surgery. She did SO WELL and was happy to get a new purple sippy and to watch a show when she woke up. Recovery was a little bit harder than I thought it would be, but she was so brave and good through it all! If there is one thing about Emery, she takes on new experiences head on without a second thought and does her best. That is a trait I always longed to have! I am so proud of her.
Her doctor said her tonsils were HUGE! I am SO GLAD she got them out. She is sleeping SO MUCH better now and I am not so worried about her not breathing in the night anymore. Especially when she is sick. Great job my brave, sweet girl!

Fishing at Panguitch Lake
We were able to to to Panguitch Lake a few times as well. Emery and Kaven had some fun fishing with Daddy.
The funny thing is that we put fake bate on their poles. It made it so much easier for us and a lot more fun for them. They were able to cast and reel in so many time without getting their hooks all tangled up in everything.
Then, when Tim caught a fish on his pole, he would let them reel it it. It ended up working out great for all of us.
Even though that was fun, they decided it would be fun to go for a swim as well. They started out fully clothed but....
it eventually turned into this................
oh well, we were there to have fun and fun we had! :)
What a cute guy I have!
